“Hamilton County has a rich wildlife population. Here are a couple of pictures of Hawks. They are Rough-legged Hawks, so named because their foliage extends down their legs — a result of their Arctic origin. They migrate here during the winter looking for food. The one in flight is expressing irritation at being disturbed. Both are intently watching the intruders. Beautiful birds from our area.” ~Bill Royer
